I would be pretty screwed. within an hour i could walk to danville on the Iron horse trail and maybe make my way to Mount Diablo, but within 5 days I would probably be in pretty bad shape from hypothermia.

I'm trying to think of abandoned buildings in the BR area that I could hide out at.
One idea that was mentioned on reddit was hiding in abandoned underground storm shelters. Unfortunately, you aren't going to find too many of those down here.

What about find a sunken boat in a lake or in an ocean. You can swim out there and make sure you bring oxygen you dive down deep and you find the boat. And then you hope that you find a water or air pocket down there. If you don't you're probably going to die. The good thing is there is water all around you see you can PEe and pm poop without problems but that might attract the sharks. If it's fresh water you can drink the water. But if it saltwater you need to filter it through or something so maybe bring a Britta filter with you. And then you just wait down there for five days in the air pocket I don't think anyone would come find you down at the bottom of the ocean or the lake. I would make sure that I had a wetsuit to because you can get hypothermia even in warm water. And you could also find out if there are mermaids that exist. Two birds with one stone

They could have thousands of dogs that are proficient at tracking within a day. Even if each dog can only search a square mile in a day, they would have the entire 70 mile radius (around 15,000 square miles) within a couple days.
