I'm assuming someone knew where you were that morning. If nobody currently knows where you are then you are way ahead of the game. I can't think of many instances where at least 1 person doesn't know generally where I am.

And you need a car to make it 70 miles. Which is your car so they'll look for that. Or a car you borrow from someone and they know which car you had.
Your best bet is a really good disguise so you can hide in plain sight.

It wouldn't have to be random. They could literally search the entire area in a day or so with people and in a couple of days they could have dogs search every square mile.
This is also assuming that as soon as you know the circumstances you get in your car and drive. Assuming people would probably do other things besides drive in the hour head start they have, the radius gets much smaller.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned.
1.steal a boat in a marshy area and bring an old barrel.
2.Drive boat to marsh near a large lake (ponchatrain, etc).
3.Sink barrel in a overgrown area.
4.Point boat into middle of lake and allow to take off with steering wheel tied to eliminate turning.
5. Climb into barrel and put on lid (not airtight so I can breathe)
6. Sit in poo for 5 days.
