Happened in the men’s 400m hurdles yesterday. Previous record holder shattered his own record in the race.

That he set a couple months ago, which the previous world record had stood for about 30 years.

Tough beat.

When they took off I figured there was no way he could win bc he was booking it. He was also shorter than the rest of the guys and his little pasty white legs were churning.

Probably didn't break the record. The guy who finished first did.

No, the American actually beat the previous WR, but the Norwegian shattered it.

WR was 46.70, the American ran a 46.17, but the Norwegian ran a 45.94!

That was a hell of a race. First, second and third were flying down the track.

I didn’t see it, but the Bronze medalists ran a 46.72, just 2 hundreds of a second off the WR. Crazy fast.

It’s like the Kentucky derby. Only 3 horses have run it in under 2 minutes. 2 won and Sham had the bad luck to run into secretariat

I looked it up on Youtube real quick. All three of them ran at world record pace. It was neck and neck between gold and silver until the last 30 meters or so.
