In many cases, racism is a direct response to crime. You made it seem as if the OT needs to change.
What needs to change is the people that are committing crimes or living off of the government need an education and a purpose, thereby earning self worth as a by product.
If everybody that was able had to work to eat, crime and racism would go down. By everybody I mean every color too.
Under the questions about nature or nurture, nobody that gets proper nurture desires to grow up and be a burden on society.

What about Jim Crow? It sucked and it's over.
Very few white people will see a black guy and think "frick that guy, he's black so I hate him". It just doesn't happen. You'd be surprised and probably disappointed if you realized how little most white people care about skin color when it comes to individual relationships.

Not blaming you at anyone at all. Not a degeneration either. My comment was in response to the statement that much of the racism today is because of crime. The blatant and overt racism back in the day, long after slavery, was not a function of crime. I don't believe the majority is now either. The racism from the 60s and 70s are only fifty or less years removed. Those racists surely did not raise their children to be tolerant.

For just a few examples check out the white vs black resume study, disparities in health care (when income is controlled), black vs. white seller studies. Many still do discriminate based solely on skin color. I am not saying hate, but discrimination and still racism, yes.

My parents were mind your own business kind people who were tolerant. Yet their age gets them lumped in when the racists say elderly, southern white people are intolerant.

Not so much. Have you noticed that the discussion is a continuing thing, being discussed ad nauseum and there are still no answers?
