People with infinite social pathologies wear me out. They ruin the quality of life for " normals" . You find yourself intentionally avoiding them just so you can enjoy your day. In my life that means ghetto culture and to a lesser extent meth head cracka culture. If I lived in Nola, it would be unbearable. Just walking into the McDonalds by the Saenger by mistake, and smelling the place is enough to make you throw up. F that whole cratering shithole of a formerly great city.

This statement is simply not supported by actual real tangible evidence....in essence if it were true you would never have responded and I'd still be living in a world of bliss where you don't exist.

Due to the crime, corruption, and budget issues, I've drastically cut down on my trips to the city (from Metry) and have ruled out ever buying property in NOLA Parish
But...
People can get wasted and party in plenty of cities in this country. Cities that are safer, cheaper, have more/grander entertainment options (i.e. more big name concert draws), and have just as many good restaurant options (though NOLA is one of the best per capita). But NOLA still gets a shitload of visitors each year, and I think its unique architecture and culture play a pretty big part in it.
I don't see why relevance really matters. NOLA is high atop the list of many NFL/NBA fans' road trip destinations. Plus NOLA has hosted 10 Super Bowls, 5 Final Fours, a shitload of NCAAFB bowls, and a ton of other sporting events. So the 46th largest metro area in the US is currently tied for the most SB's hosted. Sports in NOLA is absolutely significant.

BUT neither of those teams are relevant historically in their leagues basically

Jesus forgive me....I think I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to idiots.
What I said was people come to New Orleans for debauchery and vices.....that doesn't mean they don't do other stuff just. How much can one person truly defile themselves in a given time frame. I also stated that New Orleans isn't some mecca of music, art, architecture, etc...which also doesn't mean that people can't see some of that stuff when they get to NOLA. I said they don't initially come for that....and I stand by that.

If you went Saturday, July 22nd, you would have seen my wife (white) and her friend (white) at that same location. She didn't say anything like that happened outside of it being crowded.
Went Friday. Not Saturday. Went at night.

If you weren't a bitch you would have stayed at home, like I did, while the women folk watched their women movie.
I wanted to see it and I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was funny.

just a couple of years ago. I would say from 2009-2014 people were bullish on Nola and its amenities. Not so much these days.
You know, I got this feeling too. Recently though I have been witness to a couple conversations, mostly out of towers, who are still extremely bullish. I'm talking about mid to high 6 figure educated people. All had bought homes in New Orleans within the last year. Gentilly, Uptown, Bywater and Mid City.
I was taken aback for a while then realized that I had likely had my vision clouded by this board. Which isn't hard to believe.

Go to Clearview AMC in Metairie instead...it's worlds better.
Ironically we started going to Elmwood because Clearview seemed to attract 19,000 teenagers who clogged the outside, clogged the path between the doors by the back and the box office.

Also the crowd is becoming shady. The reason for this is because it's fairly close to NOLA with the earhart expressway plus all of the trash from the westbank that's close makes its way over.
Expressway has been there for at least 30 years. Yes, maybe more peopel from the WB, why can't they stay at their own palace.

I really feel bad for NOLA
No other place like it. Food, history, uniqueness
It's just sad that it can't get its shite together.

The crime is kept to certain areas. These areas are not bad at all.
I guess the people who enjoy these areas just keep to themselves and never travel outside their comfort zones.

I don't know anything about Dave and Busters, but if there were tons of OPSO officers there I am not sure how D&B employees kicked out and saw a beat down of a customer, but OPSO didn't apprehend the perp and instead let him load her in a truck and leave.

Seems like people from BR and Houston are upset that they live in shitty, boring cities
That's what I've gathered from this thread.
