None for me.

Lol you can't believe this.
My father was in prison when I was a kid. I didn't need the cops to tell me what he did was wrong and I could go there also
Zero accountability from you

Nothing says "Friday on TD.com" like a good ole-fashion race thread.

I walk around town and see people of all races being polite to one another. Don’t let the machine tell you how “everyone “ feels.

Being proud of your skin color is just stupid, doesn't matter what color that skin is.

What the frick are you talking about? Voter suppression, restoring power to the fore founding group, playing dirty? Are you trolling?
Who are you including in “we” and “us?”

Caring about skin color is stupid. Successful people are generally successful because of values and ethic, and unsuccessful for the same reasons. It has nothing to do with your skin.

This about restoring power to the fore-founding group. We have a population crisis and we cant win strictly off numbers. Its impossible. We came out in droves to swing this election because had we lost, the nation would have went blue for the next foreseeable future. Even if we had to play a little dirty, it was worth it. Cant let the libs take whats ours because we would be strong armed out of it. Gotta jig the system to our advantage to MAGA right?
Thank you for being honest.
In that entire list, the most pointless effort is repealing the voter rights act.
And stand your ground laws are literally a hypocrisy if it only applies to whites being endangered.
The 2016 election was fair. And Trump is the POTUS and I won't dispute that. But as you stated, outside the electoral college representation, the truth is the GOP can't win on pure numbers alone.
This country is getting more and more liberal each passing decade, just ask Kingbob or Darth Vader.

I was referring to modern presidential elections with my "not enough numbers" remark
In conservative states, obviously the majority of a party will win. Now the neutral states may stay conservative for awhile based on the economy and other factors.
I think the liberal and conservative have good aspects.
Most liberals prefer urban, and to assimilate in that environment some degree of social acceptance is needed.
While conservatives typically prefer rural and more in group association.
The reason I don't fully identify conservative is two fold. I don't think all of them are bad, but usually people who lean this way have traditional realms of thinking. And not all traditions are good ones.

conservatives work best when they are conserving that which is good. liberals work best when they are liberating from that which is bad.
conservatives fail when they conserve bad things and liberals fail when they try to liberate from good things.

no, man. the landowner next to our place had a cousin who was a judge. the cousin(judge) saw the landman doing research in the courthouse, found out what the guy was doing and why, then told his cousin. The landman didn't know anybody involved in the situation.
I really don't feel like going through it again. So, for the last time. Yes, the story is 100% true. No, I don't think all white people are bad because of it. But it does confound me that people now can honestly question whether or not white people in the deep south in 1969 were doing illegal business practices like land/mineral grabbing from blacks.

i think there's a small disconnect.
i 100% think that what you say happened, happened. i think that it's shitty, and i'm sorry that it's the case. truly.
where people get fired up (not at YOU) is that your stories and other stories of police brutality (except Michael Brown. eff that dude) are true statements of today's society. these really shitty things DO happen. they're not as common as the media wants you to believe and not as rare as most of us want to believe. but they are true and they did happen a lot in the past and still do to a smaller degree today.
where the OP gets frustrated is that the singer at the concert in question, just tried to make a point to blame and punish every white person there for the perceived (and often true) injustices that have happened to PoC. most of us are all "WTF? we didn't do anything?"
so a stupid mild and harmless attack on "one of us" gets transferred to all of "us."
i've said this before, and i feel cruel saying this, but i don't think we can get past these racial divides until the black Community can collectively forgive white America for its transgressions, we'll continue to see this. i hate putting that burden on my black brothers and sisters and it's 100% not fair, but white guilt can only get us so far.
ETA: i hope that v, tbird, and masterag don't take any offense to this. i want this shite fixed as much as any of you do.

I agree. But when someone says they are proud to be white or black, I take it to mean they aren't ashamed of it.

Originally you posted this story as an example of white privilege, now you're wavering and saying its about corruption in small town government and business dealings. Well that shite happens in black communities just as much as in white ones even to this day.

land/mineral grabbing from blacks
Nobody took your families land and/or minerals. You said yourself he owned several hundred acres with mineral rights. The land man just decided to not lease them and lease the neighbors. Maybe the neighbor agreed to a better percentage. Do you know the details of that lease VS the one offered to your family? And if the neighbors land was so rich with oil, then seems the company would have come back and leased the surrounding acreage as well.
Does youre family still have the land?
Are the minerals leased today?
