Beer/cigs and tobacco have price increases twice a year like clockwork.

The most I’ve ever paid was $6 for some type of porter. You’re just going to expensive places.

Yep, sitting in a bar with a bunch of like minded friends sipping on craft beers and discussing the headiness of the hops, the subtleties of the malt, the slightly fruity aftertaste will cost you.

It’s a fricking racket. Overpriced craft brews.

You think beer is expensive and way overpriced? Look at what places like Starbucks is doing with coffee. It takes all of about 20 minutes to make up and brew one of those large pots of coffee and they charge between $4-6 a cup for the shite.

But I'm with you. I don't pay that much for beer----ever. The most expensive beer I like to drink is Guinness and it still costs less than $5 for a nice pint in almost any neighborhood bar in my city unless you are heading into the French Quarter.

Lime in non-Mexican lagers is very underrated, in my college days I was a big fan of natty with lime

People buy it at that price so they sell it at that price. I personally stick to the cheap domestics and don’t care when I get a smug look from the bartenders. I’ll try something new every now and then but I’m not spending $40 for 4 beers including tip. I can buy some good whiskey for that price.

Happens every time I order a pint of Michelob Ultra at Bulldog on Perkins. I don't mind. I like it the best AND it's cheaper. When I want a buzz I'll order a shot of cheap vodka WITH my pint.

That ultra at the bulldog is still over priced.

I will still order the $2 special at a bar but if I am paying $4 for an ultra I might spend $2 more for something better.

That being said restaurant prices on alcohol in general can be high as frick. I guess they don’t want people pounding.

No shite it is. I go to Bulldog 3 times a year maybe.

I like my $3 Draft and $2 shots at Ivars and even cheaper at Zippys.

naw...they have bean counters telling them that their clientele will pay it.

There's this thing called free enterprise.

I had an Envie for 3 dollars last night...I also had one for 6 dollars.

I had a Bayou Teche beer too and if it was .10 is was too expensive.

Me either, but I drink craft beer too.

Where are you people going where it’s this expensive? I don’t even think uptown Dallas is that bad.
