Star Wars was cool for me as a kid -- I have no interest in it now, but I am not gonna bag on adults who are as any hobby can be considered dorky when you get down to it. Some of the recruiting stuff on the Rants is downright creepy.

I had never seen any Star Wars films until about 10 years ago when I was trapped at somebody's house for holidays and saw about 20 minutes of the original. And I was absolutely amazed.
Amazed at how bad the acting was, aside from Alec Guinness. It was like watching a 1970s industrial training film.
But criticizing it is pointless now. It's part of the mass nostalgia, and if I've learned one thing from TD, you don't dare knock somebody's nostalgia. Pissing on the flag would be more popular.
