quote:this, I couldn't care less about those pieces of shite, they've been fighting since the beginning of time, they'll continue doing so.
I don't know why any free human being would want to venture to that part of the world.
Asking for trouble.
F that entire area of the world

This is what happens when you let global elite bankers dictate American foreign policy
Situation: Qaddafi not having a centralized bank
Result: Region gets destabilized, rebels get funded and armed by the United States because Qaddafi is a tyrant the western world suddenly is threatened by and needs to depose. He may have been a tyrant but he kept the region in check.
Situation: Hussein selling Iraqi oil in exchange for gold, moving away from the global standard of selling oil in exchange for US Dollars
Result: Suddenly Hussein has WMDs and is a threat to the world, we move in to overthrow him and set up a "democracy", coalition forces pull out to early and the region is horribly destabilized and multiple rebel forces coalesce into a larger movement
ULTIMATE result: destable regions of Iraq and Syria lead to rebel forces/terrorists/insurgents being merged into a terrorist organization/caliphate with actual geographic control, government, administration, and currency. Aptly named the Islamic State of IRAQ and SYRIA.
Funny how that works.

I want someone I'm this thread to tell me in a cohesive manner how this civil war in Syria started.

Being bothered by it doesn't make you a dove, it means you're a sentient human who watches the news.

Isn't it just Sunni v. Shiite v. Kurd?
Three way shite fest?
What Assad is? No idea?
They've been fighting forever.
If they had zero oil, how long ago would this shite have been settled? The world appears to meddle for oil and guilt for Jews and that whole WW2 thing.
Now that has morphed into genuine concern for Jews and realization that our economy collapses if gas gets to $4 a gallon.
