You could have a non loser stand in for you, date, make her fall in love, and smash for 3 years. At that point you stage a disaster car accident in which you are burned over 70% of your body. This is where you need to be committed and go through with the burns. Now you step in, she won't recognize your goofy arse post accident. She will try and make it work, and will at least allow one pity sex.
