What kind of profession takes you from BR to Telluride?

Probably a plethora of jobs considering work from home trend is just getting started and more than likely here to stay for good.

None that I know of. Unless the Ute’s got some new asset management stuff going on lol.

Telluride itself is beautiful, but that part of Colorado is really isolated. I’d love to live in the area, but women are hard to predict. The wife and daughter might grow tired of the area after a year or two.

Nope. But it’s still western slope.

I have spent a lot of time working in a resort then. Telluride has a colol vibe, but beware that it is very liberal and just full if ski bums. I would love to live in a resort town, particularly during the summer. Be damn shure you check out the cost of living difference very well...the difference is staggering.

Retail and lots of compounding. That’s another great aspect of this job. It’s hard to breaking into the compounding world without experience.

I’ve personally never been where you are talking about moving to on the western slope. I’ve lived by Pike’s Peak though and it was hard on us. School was always starting late due to inclement weather and both of us had professional jobs that wanted you to show up to work on time. I believe you stated you had a two wheel drive truck. That’s totally useless in that state. AWD and four wheel drive trucks are so much easier to get around in. At least a front wheel drive vehicle. I found the cold to be tolerable. It wasn’t a humid cold but it sucked when the wind would pick up. Hell I’d move up there and if you don’t like it you can always move somewhere else on down the road.

Sounds like Stacie’s. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the area. From montrose, to Nucla, ridgeway, ouray. Go for it. I’ve got 11 years compounding experience. Wish I could get my family to leave here...

I could never live there personally, but great to visit. Beautiful in the summer.

But something about being stuck in a small mountain town in the winter just doesn't rock my boat.

Did your parents let you watch the Shining too young like mine did?

Most residents probably leave and go to Florida or other tropical climates during the winter

Telluride is where I wanna go when I die if they don’t let me into Heaven.

I think the altitude would be a bigger adjustment than the cold for me.

It’s gonna take a couple of weeks to get acclimated. Living with ice most of the year is gonna take most of the year.

Have only vacationed in the winter months in Ouray and Ridgway. Do it every year. Love it as a vacation spot but would be skeptical of year round. As someone said, be leery of the wife and daughter growing tired of it.

I have no problem saying ‘that’s epic’ but I couldn’t pull off saying I’m stoked. Not with this nerd face.
