If you know that a bar is a smoking bar, and freely choose to patronize it knowing that there will be people smoking in it (like a cigar bar), then how are you, “innocent and unsuspecting”?

Don’t want to be around a smoke filled bar? Then don’t go.

Employees should be able to work without being exposed.

My taxes are gonna be used to treat these people.

Exactly. Hence why cigar bars are excluded from the rules.

Never understood how the government can tell private businesses what they can and can't do inside their establishment.
If they allow smoking then a sign should be posted on the door. You can choose to enter or not.

Wrong. It should be a owner/management policy not government mandated...if you don't like it then don't work there.

It's ashame when Americans enjoy being forced to do whatever the government tells them to do. Business owners should decide. Let the free market decide which bars are successful.

No, I do not smoke.

I know! Get a bunch of people crammed in a room together then let dumbasses pollute the air with smoke. And there's no climate change either right?

It's pathetic. Any business that wants to allow smoking should be able to.

If people don't like smoke, go to a smoke free environment instead of being a snowflake.

There are hundreds of reasons to not want the government to regulate something but smoking is a poor choice to champion because of the direct impact on everything around someone who smokes and that is a fact. I get all the arguments for freedom to choose but having grown up in an era where smoking was prevalent in public places I do not miss having to breathe that crap all the time

That's the downfall of this country. srs, people are pussies now. When this whole health thing kicked off in the 70's it ended up stealing the balls of every man in america.

Can't believe how brainwashed the OT is with the anti-smoking propaganda. Other than smoking OT is stuck in the past on everything else, statues, confederate flags, jim crow, sexism but goes full on retard with anti-smoking.

You people sound like babies, "ohhh I don't want to smell like smoke when I go out drinking or to a strip club." WTF is wrong with you.

Back when people smoked at work, home, restaurants, it was no big deal you get used to it.

This health/anti-smoking movement has really f'd america. Look what has come about in it's wake:

1. Kids don't breath second hand smoke at home, but now are decimated by autism and peanut allergies.

2. Men are morphing into women with their freaking open mouthed selfies on insta.

3. People are using apps to date because to scared to introduce themselves in real life.

4. You've got a whole group of men paying for a cam girls bath water.

5. You've got people like Langland who can only hint at saying no, get stuck moving a chick out of fear or his parents and then not have the initiative to fulfill his teenage fantasy with the dayglo dancer.

6. You get people like 3morereps whose ex wants to f him but he has to come to OT for guidance first.

srsly nothing but idiots and pansies have come out of this ban smoking everywhere crap.

You go to Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, you don't see any of this stuff. People smoke and men know how to act like men. There's no crap about gender neutrality, LGBT bs

It is so clear what is happening here in america. Trump getting in was a sign that most people are pissed off at that crap but Trump hasn't done one thing for his constituents in Virginia and Kentucky and the soul of this country. He hasn't even tried to lift the smoking ban.

You want vapers? Because banning smoke is how you get neck beard vapers.

I quit smoking right before my mom died, which was in early April.

I feel better and definitely enjoy having that 100-200 bucks a month to spend elsewhere.

Raises taxes to curb smoking..

Raises taxes to curb drinking sodas..

Wants to keep raising my taxes expecting more revenue and me to be happy about it...

Our government is stupid as hell.

Wrong.

Employers who allow smoking face legal risk.

Guess you will be fine when employees choose to work there and then sue.

Grow up

not at all

You refuse to acknowledge that employees can choose where they want to work

Sue an employer over a legal substance? That is quite funny.
