you don't even have to get all libertarian about it, assuming their assertions are true. just go non-smoking on your own

again, if Lake Charles can provide multiple non-smoking options, then there is no reason Nola/BR can't

There were plenty of options before they banned it. Smoking in restaurants has basically been non existent since the 90s. Bars like Ivars were non smoking years before we made laws about it.

That's why we have elections to vote for politicians who want to do that the things we want them to do.

And if you're on the losing end of that election, you have to live with the consequences of that result and then you're free to challenge that result in the next election.

That is literally the current reality in America. No amount of arguing on message boards will change that.

We have elections so we can use the government to take more control over people but in our own way? Interesting take.

I'm a guy who thinks the welfare state should be cut as much as we possibly can but not too much as we need to leave some to bribe the poors to pipe down and stay quiet so they don't rise against the middle and upper classes and put a real fascist into office.

While you cede power to the government at every turn then say you're scared of "real fascists".

It's fricking clown world.

That's literally the reality in America right now dude.

It's literally happening now.

Look at Venezuela and Iran where the dictatorships have strong opposition from the middle and upper classes but they're heavily backed and strongly propped up by the poor who vastly outnumber the middle and upper classes because they were promised a lot of "free" goodies.

It's why we will never ever truly eliminate welfare as its a bribe to keep them quiet.

Yet you're willing to keep consolidating power at the top making it easier for these people to take over.

The reason given was that they didn't want to alienate a small part of their clientele and lose it. Margins being super tight I would imagine.

Owners want it, but can't afford to do it. If everyone is on the same playing field no one has go suffer for being wrong.

Or just make the government the scapegoat.

I'm fine with that.

With tight margins you don't have the ability to alienate 20% or your clientele.

That's because you're too much of a pussy to handle life on your own like those people. I bet you're one of those people that claim to hate crony capitalism as well.

So don't do it.
