Clearly you have never been to Chicago. You hear stories about isolated parts of Chicago and make a opinion.

Chicago is awesome. Safer than most Louisiana cities as long as you avoid the danger zones, which is not hard.

The best cheat code is to use your PTO during the year instead of during Xmas and NY because in my company everyone takes the last 2 weeks of the year off and nobody does shite. So i just do whatever i want for those 2 weeks and use 4 weeks of vacation throughout the year.

Your having trouble finding something to do in Chicago during the summer? Summer in Chicago is literally the only time of year that makes it worth living there. And people party there arse off in Chicago summers.

Go outside and enjoy the weather.

we can't work on wifi, has to be hardwired and 2 monitors per laptop is not super mobile friendly. Maybe his is the same?

Why do you have to be hardwired?

I use a laptop with docking station and two monitors in the office, but when I'm remote I just bring the laptop and work off wifi. VPN gets me right to the servers and I can do everything I need to do.

Why not? If you are remote you should be able to go anywhere with reliable cell service and internet.

I'm going to take a stab and say he works in IT. And somebody has to be around for the server room.

Chicago is one of America’s greatest cities….to visit.

It has absolutely godawful weather most of the year and insanely high taxes.

Yeah Chicago is badass in the summer. I love going there and most of the bad shite is stuff you will never see as a tourist.

Stay out of the southside and you can have a great time. My favorite food city.

If you’re a remote worker why can’t you leave and go somewhere ? As long as you have WiFi (which is nearly everywhere) and laptop you can still handle anything that may come up.
