I’d love to be a 18 or so year old kid just going into the plumbing field. Imagine what that job market will lol like in another 10-20 years when the current crop of plumbers are retiring. That kid is going to make a killing.

DMX would have not let this happen.

Why does everyone think that blue collar workers make hundreds of thousands of dollars? This is the stupidest OT meme there is.

I know right..
Guy I know started out like that and his business has steadily expanded over the years and this cat lives in a 2+ million dollar house and has I'm sure all the toys he could ever want. It's sad that most blue collar work gets looked down on in that way..

if only a great big truck would have been following and run him over. Beautiful

I'm assuming both weren't seriously injured.
Apparently the motorcycle rider suffered severe injuries including two broken ankles, two broken feet, and a strained neck.

No one is saying that, but I know several more guys with a trade school education making more that guys with 4 year degrees..
It's just like in any business, if you can build a solid reputation and treat it like business you want to expand and grow possibilities are endless sometimes.

Yeah. I was naive too before I'd ever had to pay for a plumber.

Right, but that isn't the average plumber, that is an entrepreneur. The top 10 percent of plumbers make between 80-90k.

Spoken like a true idiot who’s too dumb to know know just how much he doesn’t know.
I said that because an 18 year old just going into a plumbing field is entering a job market that will always have extremely high demand for work (unless society gets tired of indoor plumbing) but is also seeing a very low number of new professionals come online. In short, by the time that 18 year old is about 10 or 15 years into his career, he will be in a position to open his own business making who knows how many hundreds of thousands of dollars annually if he’s smart. Now compare that to the guy his same age who’s got a worthless degree on the wall in is parents basement and tens of thousands in student debt, all while he makes $7.00 an hour at Starbucks.

Let me guess, he does mobile advertising while popping a wheelie?
Give up.
Give up.

You’ll never get rich working for someone else, doesn’t matter if your a plumber, a lawyer, or whatever. If you want to make the real money in any profession, you have to get your name on the sign out front.
Now go back to my example of the 18 year old with plumbing knowledge. What does his competitive market look like in about 10-15 years? You’ve got a market where most of the experienced professionals are aging rapidly while not many replacements are taking their place. That 18 year old pumbler y’all are mocking has a far better long term professional outlook than a 18 year old looking to do something like open a law firm.

When most people think of plumber they think of the fat guy balding with his crack hanging out fixing your toilet
