Did they get the title and registration done properly? Any issues with putting in all of that personal information online?

Does anyone know how they share your social security number if they actualy do? I noticed there were info sharing categories you could not opt out of unless you lived in California.

My wife's aunt bought a car from carvana and died from a stroke 8 months later.

Be careful out there.

When I was looking for a used car in Fall 2020, Carvana’s prices were about 10% higher than what I was able to find from dealership.

Ours went off without a hitch. Very, very simple.

I will however caution you this one thing....and this is probably not just specifically a carfax problem, just bad luck for us...

We bought a car from them in 2017 with a clean carfax. When we went to sell that car in 2019, there was an accident that showed up. The accident occurred in 2016, but wasn't reported until a couple months before we decided to sell. So, just because the carfax is clean, doesn't mean the car actually is. Getting it inspected by an independent person is always a good idea, but can obviously be tough logistically.

My personal experience was great. Good truck, excellently detailed, driver was fantastic. Overall, really solid not having to talk to some mouth breather at a dealership.

We got our current vehicle from Carvana.

Very easy and painless experience. Rate was a bit higher than I could have gotten at a dealership but we refinanced soon after.

That's not the case now, at least for what I'm researching.

FYI...Carvana's stock is in the shiter (it's at $26 today). CVNA was trading at 300+ just a year ago as it was considered a "tech" stock. But now investors have figured out that, well, losing > $2,000 per unit sold is not a good long term prospect.

Last month they laid off 2,500 people via a Zoom call.

Enjoy their experience while you can.

The only issues we had on one purchase was a two week delay on the shipping. We could have gone to Birmingham to pick it up but we just waited. No doubt, my search will begin there again on my next purchase.

If I never have to step foot on a dealership again I would pay extra.

Even though I could disagree from my experiences, I would be willing to pay at ;east 10% more to not have to deal with scumbags at a user car dealership...from the salesman, to the overpriced warranties they insist are almost required to the financing.I hope the entire process is digitized in the next ten years and they are all looking for other work.

Good idea. I'm also using Vehicle history. Com and iseecars to check Vin history. But, I suppose they are subject to the same limitations as carfax.

With the 7 day no cost return policy you can always have it inspected by someone close to your home that you know and trust after delivery.

I actually like haggling at the dealership. I walk out multiple times and usually get the price I want, eventually, unless it's Lexus, they don't budge as much.

I leveraged their online offer to buy my car and got $1500 more from the dealership on a trade.

They're higher, though I don't know that they're 10%. I have a car on reserve from them right now because it was the only one of that car in that trim I could locate in a 200-mile radius and it has an impeccable service history on it.

Bought from them. Price was solid and was willing to pay a slight premium to not have to deal with the stealership. Would buy from Carvana again.

You're paying more for fewer available services.

I sold one to them. They offered about 4K more than any dealership trade-in. It was a painless process and I was leery going into it but Im glad i took a chance on them.
