WWII Museum - Sept. discount for La residents

We love this place. Went last September and made a great day of it. Highly recommend it if you like museums, history, military information, etc.

Thank you for that heads up. We'll very likely take advantage of it.

Was looking for a museum today. Was debating the US Mint, but this may fit better

Best thing in New Orleans. The city should thank its lucky stars every damn day that that museum is there.

Also, the WWII Air, Land, and Sea Festival, sponsored by the WWII Museum, is October 27-29 at Lakefront Airport. I went last year (called the WWII Air Expo then) and it was EXCELLENT. Allied aircraft of all types on display. Various flight demonstrations (saw B-29, P-51, P-40, and Spitfire fly). Also Allied and Axis vehicles and equipment on display. Walk-through on a B-17. Burgers, hot dogs, and drinks for sale. Live entertainment by the Victory Bells. I plan on attending again this year.

If you haven't gone, I highly recommend it... It takes the entire day if you tour the whole museum.

If you do it right, you could spend several days. Listening to all the commentary, reading the details, etc.

I went this past new years when I was in town for the sugar bowl. Spent 2 full days there.
