In Texas they take Child Support very serious and the Attorney General's office handles it for you free of charge. The state has a minimum that must be paid because they assume anyone could get a minimum wage job and base the amount off of that. For three kids it's $300, which isn't much, but puts a smile on my face every time she has to write a check each month to the AG's office. Then they pay it to me with no fees taken out.

I think all chicks would do this without a man. Mine did the same thing. She got one of our cars in the divorce. Everytime she would stop by to see the kids I would ask her if she's changed the oil yet because it needs it. She kept saying she would but never did. She stopped by and picked up the kids to take them to lunch one day. The kids called me to come pick them up and said mom's car started smoking in the McDonald's drive thru and caught fire. I'd have to hold myself responsible for my son turning out to be a complete loser and make sure that I did not do the same thing to my grandson. I'd take care of finances, try to be a grandfather and make sure that I didn't offer advice regarding his upbringing.
