The 600 million screaming Chinamen were our allies in Red Dawn because of the Sino-Soviet split. China got nuked by the Soviets. I’m not sure what happened to the US military in the movie.

Without organization, you won’t do much besides maybe maybe maybe take out a soldier before getting smoked. That was just a movie. It will take a whole lot more to take on an enemy’s military force of any significance. It would take organization, leadership, lots of firepower and support, and yes, the will to put your life on the line.
