Is he a racist? I doubt it. But he did use a racist slur in a dumb way and is paying the price. It is what it is.

This being acceptable to you is everything wrong with society today.

I don’t know, the people that really care about this and want him “canceled” over it probably don’t listen to him or country music. If an apology gets it out of the news quickly, those people will move on and he can get back to doing whatever he was doing before.

Ignoring it will get it out even faster. The inevitable apology will put it right back into the cycle, and the morons that want to cancel him won't be appeased regardless of the apology.

Considering his career is fricked, I’d just get weird. Mohawk, Drugs. Cars. Prostitutes.

His label is gutless. Are they claiming the "N-Word" is something that's verboten in the music industry?

His sales have tripled since the incident

Nick Cannon once called white people, “subhuman savages”. And today CBS renewed their contract with him. It’s interesting who can get away with mean words and who can’t.

I have no clue who the guy is, but if you use that word in public in 2021, you kinda deserve some type of backlash over it. And spare me the alcohol excuse. I've been drinking alcohol for 30 years and it's never made me utter that word.

If he's "canceled" over it, oh well. If he's not, oh well. I won't lose sleep over it and will be fine never really knowing who he is beyond a country music singer.

let's be honest: you actively root for people in these situations to be cancelled.

I say middle finger to Nashville and go back to East Tennessee or come to Texas. Go Indy. You have the following to support it plus you get to be yourself and do whatever the hell you want.

Cooooooome on down wallen. We won’t make you record those unbearable bro country songs like your label does. We all know that’s what it is. Nobody who actually writes, wants to make those songs. Fact.

Let me guess, you’re on of those “headline only” types. You see the headline and made the call? You’d fit right in with the rest of 2021 folks. Pussies

He definitely has some bro country stuff. A lot actually. But his voice is really unique and he does have some good country stuff. Look up some of his acoustic stuff from his double album on YT. It’s better than the track version IMO

Being drunk doesn't make new words just appear in your vocabulary.

Not about to grab my torch and pitchfork on my way to his crucifixion, but none of the response to this should be surprising to him at this point.

Huh? I've barely read anything about it. I just watched a video of the incident on Twitter the other day. It looked like he shoved a girl to the ground as well, but maybe that was a dude.
