My parents kept 2 huge ceramic ashtrays in our house (1 in living room & 1 in den), despite the fact that neither of them smoked.
But company would come over and fire right up like it was what you’re supposed to do.

It's funny how common this was back in the 60's and 70's. Now you cant even find ashtrays...
Before my parents remodeled our house, we sat in a little 12x12 den to watch tv, and my mom would light up.. You could see the smoke hover in the light of the tv. No one thought shite about 2nd hand smoke back in those days..
