This is true in some older areas without community sewerage where you have your own septic tank. Only toilet waste goes into the septic tank for natural processing and the out the closed drain field.
The other pipes from sinks and washing machines are considered gray water and go straight into a drain field or drainage ditch.
Now a days in areas without community sewerage, all pipes flow into the septic tank then the drain field, but, what I don’t get over the old system, is that the over flow from the drain field still goes into a drainage ditch.
Either way, it does sound gross without community sewerage service, but at least I don’t have a water bill that includes sewerage service.

The negative impact of soapy water on the environment is much worse than pee.

I turn it into a game. How long can I hit the "bulls eye". I also finish the shower off by grabbing the shower head and turning it into a bidet. Used to not bother spraying down the shower but my wife got pissed one day when she stepped on a turd.

I can’t get out of the shower until I pee. It’s weird to shower and not pee.
