I'd probably do one year stays in different world regions if we both could get away with that.

With a kid, more likely have to stay put so they can make friends. Go overseas during the summer.

Well it's 81 and sunny with low humidity today. Come on up, baw!

To answer the OP, I'd probably like to live somewhere where it's temperate year round. If I'm working from home it'd be nice to have good weather and a porch to sit on while I work - makes working much more pleasant.

Second, you do realize that shoveling snow is not a daily routine in the winter, right? Maybe 4-5 times a year at most.

This always cracks me up when I hear southerners talk about the negatives of living up north. As if it snows every damn day for 4 months

And always overnight too, so you have to wake up at 5 am to do it

ETA: I would live in Vermont or Colorado if working remotely

I've lived here six years and not once have I had to wake up that early to shovel.

If it does snow overnight, the roads are already cleared by the plows. Just remote start the car, get ready for work, brush off the snow for maybe 3-5 minutes, and I'm on the road. And that's assuming I don't take the T.

trashiest town in Louisiana.
Sounds good to me!

Based on recent experience that has to be Ferriday. I'd never been through there before but the OT was right.

I think you’re in Nashville too from previous posts

I like it too, but I’ve been here 18 years. I’m just ready for a change of scenery.

If you’re into fishing, Nashville isn’t a great location.

2nd home on Douglas Lake. I'd consider moving to Nashville and that would be my endgame.
