Probably. Anticipation and the gratification of things that you had to wait for was and is a pretty underrated aspect of life.

Absolutely, I would prefer the mid 60s if given a choice.

remember watching channel 4, the ms-dos tv guide listing that scrolled at the pace of a dying snail? Yeah, those were good times.
Especially when you waited 4 minutes to see what was coming on a particular channel just to find out your mind had wandered and you missed the damn listing and had to wait an eternity again.

Imagine the change we could make, if we all went back with The OT as our secret back channel from a device but no one else had any of the new tech?

Really? I know the technology existed, but I didn’t know a single average person who had one.

and for all intents and purposes id argue they are fundamentally different now and even though the technology existed in the 80s, it would be like comparing a model t to a lamborghini

TV guide magazine was instantaneous!

The old bag phones. They cost like $1.50 per minute

Hell yeah. My son would shite his pants if all he had was a speak and math, light bright, and the skelator microphone.

My first phone in the 90’s was a bag phone

If you were in sales or an executive you had one. I think my first one was around $700-800.
