remember watching channel 4, the ms-dos tv guide listing that scrolled at the pace of a dying snail? Yeah, those were good times.

Especially when you waited 4 minutes to see what was coming on a particular channel just to find out your mind had wandered and you missed the damn listing and had to wait an eternity again.

and for all intents and purposes id argue they are fundamentally different now and even though the technology existed in the 80s, it would be like comparing a model t to a lamborghini

If you were in sales or an executive you had one. I think my first one was around $700-800.
