Pretty much everyone that’s served gets some kind of disability….its a huge scam

You can get a check every month if you have ED and you’re a veteran.

Military spending is out of control

Even a NB 73 or 320 CA will make around 500K for base flying, no premium or OG. Still not a bad gig..

Meteorology or Astronomy

As a kid I was always watching the weather, could name every cloud and weather phenomenon, and all the old tricks that earlier cultures used to predict weather.

Hell, while other kids were drawing normal things in art class, I drew weather maps with all the correct colors and named my own hurricanes on there as well.

To this day, I am still captured by the forces of nature and the cosmos.

Sadly, when I hit the age where grades mattered the most, I slacked off, chased women, and partied hard as hell. Missed my calling.

My job now is good, pay is good, but its not what I enjoy and I honestly have no motivation to grow in my field outside of doing the bare minimum to keep my job or at least stand out above my peers. The rest of the time I just talk a big game to keep the higher ups happy since all they care about are numbers anyway.

Are people on here really lamenting not becoming plumbers? I don't even like looking at my own turds in the toilet bowl.

Same line of work but, would've started gobbling up land for sale as soon as I started making decent money.

There's a trend on here that believes all manual labor trades nowadays are banking.

While I don't doubt that plumbers and electricians make good money for their industry, I would still assume it's the business owners who are the one's making real money. And they put in alot of time and sweat equity to do so.

It's hard for me to believe the actual laborers are making anything better than you could at other white collar jobs. And if you gave me the choice of looking at shite versus sitting in an office, Personally I'd take the office.

A trade for me as well.

I work in IT and it is not going well. I have multiple certifications but I cannot get out of help desk/desktop support. I apply and apply but continually get nowhere.

Go to the military for a couple years after high school, then do something where I'm building/creating things. Way more interested in that than my current job. Tough to pin point an actual job title i guess.

I tried to get in OCS in the Air Force but I was medically disqualified because I had migraines.

I’d answer that question no and be on my 22year or retired 2 years ago.
