Nice. I was in Darmstadt. All the good posts are closed now. I think it's down to Wiesbaden, K-town, and Graf now. No thanks.

If I could afford Switzerland, Switzerland. Otherwise, Prague or Munich is where I’d move to. Prague is my favorite city in the world.

England for the sake of language. Outside of that, I would probably choose Croatia. It is stunning there.

Just about everyone in Europe speaks English, so that really wouldn't be an issue. Some countries just prefer you at least attempt their own language more than others.

We had some English contractors on our post in Germany. I honestly had an easier time understanding the Germans.

And if you end up living somewhere with highly unintelligble accents, well the English won't even matter.

Crazy Irish accent

No

I have worked in Spain and Italy and they are really nice countries but after a week or so of being over there I was always ready to head back home.

People saying Switzerland, have you ever been there?

Yes, many times. I'd move to Switzerland in a heartbeat. The Swiss value being Swiss and integrating into their culture is a requirement for citizenship. Yes, it's expensive, but also safe, orderly, and you can own guns.

Wife is from Estonia...so that would be it. We have talked about retiring and moving there one day.
Tallinn is a hidden gem in Europe. Safe, clean, beautiful, and very advanced technology wise.

Last job, we'd get service calls from Europe in the morning. If the call was from Scotland or Ireland, I'd get them to send me an email. Couldn't understand a damn thing they said.
