my grandmother (Dad's side).

I'd spend every moment I could with her, instead of what I really did two days before she died. I chose to ride BMXs with my 8th grade friends (I was 13 or 14). Something I did almost every day anyway... but I turned down a chance to visit my MoMo that day.

Don't pass up chances. Regret lasts at least 33 years my friends.

You must be young. At this point in my life I've lost all my grand parents, my father (when I was 9), My Parain (when I was 15), my step dad(couple of years ago), a sister(last year), and my best friend from High school a year after we graduated(lost him in 1981). Plus several really good friends. This is not a question an older person can generally answer easily unless they've lost a child, which no person should have to go through.

Emotional answer - dad, obvious reasons

Practical answer - grandpa (dad's side): the man was apparently an investing god. 15 years since his death & my grandmother still doesn't have to worry about financials. I would have loved to have been able to pick his brain

Difficult choice between paw paw and dad (step father).
Didn't get enough time with paw paw and he was a great man but I'd have to tip the hat to my dad. He died too early at 55 with a brain tumor and never got to meet my daughter. He took me and my sister in as his own and never batted an eye even when my father didn't pay his child support. There was not a better man to walk this Earth IMO. Just wish he could have met his granddaughter.

Many of those honored in this thread died in 60s of serious disease.

We would have to grant them ten healthy years for this thread to work out.

My Mom.

She died when I was 16. She probably wouldn't be particularly proud of the life I've led, but would love for her to be proud of her grandsons and now great grandson.

I was thinking that I would not bring my mom or dad back without the other, but a brother or sister, absolutely. Sorry for your loss.

My grandfather. He died before I was born. From what everyone tells me he was a good man. And he was a Korean vet with multiple medals. I would love to hear his stories.

I love my grandparents but they all lived into their late 70's or 80's, plus I was able to say goodbye to them. I'd bring back my dad because he was only 53 and it was sudden. Our last conversation was about a youtube video.

When I said 'dad' in my post earlier, I was referring to my stepfather. It's nice to hear from others that had such a great relationship with theirs because it seems like a lot of discussion about stepparents is negative.

Can't make that decision due to circumstances.

Dad passed Dec 30th '03 and mom was killed by a drunk(high)driver 8 days later on Jan 7th '04

miss em both too much this time of year.
