He sold out every show on that and subsequent tours. The Alamo Pissing Incident didn't slow him down. Hell, four days later he sold out a show in El Paso
Oh absolutely. I was a teenager at the time and went to a couple of shows on that tour. But the media and Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority were up in arms. That was right around the time Tipper Gore founded the PMRC demanding that warning labels be put on albums.

It would not be surprising for Oz to do something like this as a prank.

He provided the hook to a post malone song featuring the rapper Travis Scott.
Here is a video from one of Malone's concert..
When the song first came out, I remember there was something I saw where someone was pointing out comments that were reactions to the song and someone said "Doing a song with Travis Scott is going to get him famous"..

Was the biting the head of a bat story true?
I recently watched the Toronto Revival festival from ‘69 and it talked about how the Alice Cooper story about biting the head of a chicken was created (falsely).

The infamous "Ozzy bat story" refers to an incident where Ozzy Osbourne, while performing in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1982, bit the head off a bat that a fan had thrown on stage. Osbourne initially believed the bat to be a rubber toy, but realized it was real after biting into it. The incident led to him receiving rabies shots as a precaution. The fan, Mark Neal, stated the bat was dead before he threw it on stage.

Damn truth…when he bit the bat, our parents thought the world was coming to an end!
In his defense, he thought it was fake. And it was stated the he is a christen. Back in the 70's and 80's, it was taboo being in the Bible belt and listening to his music. The churches really freaked out when motley Crue came out with shout at the devil and a pentagram on the album cover.
Also, everyone was talking about hidden messages when your player your records in reverse. Now a days, all that is considered publicity to drive up record deals.
I got to go fishing with the Alabama band. And my hat said Ozzy on it. Didn't really like country music at 14 but those dudes were cool as hell.

He learned that from ice-t. In 92 he is riding high with “cop killer” as a big single and now he is a detective on Law and Order.

Ozzy had a serious substance abuse problem. In his younger days he simply couldn’t control himself and he was very immature.
Bit a love dove head off in a formal meeting with CBS
Bit head of a bat in a concert
Rubbed his own feces all over the walls of nice hotels
Pissing in elevators
Pissing on the floor of hotel rooms
He was a problem
But the fans kept growing.
He needed Sharon to keep him in line and that proved to be very hard.
He wasn’t a satan worshiper. He was just really immature and hooked on booze, blow and pretty much anything he could get his hands on

I don't know what their relationship was like at the end but at the beginning it looked very much like an Elvis/Colonel Tom arrangement, I think she loved that he was able to be led around so easily because he was always "medicated," and sounds like while he was she had her way with every band member, roadie, groupie, whatever, while Oz was writing his diary of a mad man

He also chomped off a dove's head......it was 100% alive and was part of a release during some label or what have you event. He traumatized everyone at the event.
