A Draft is only needed by countries that fight a war from the last half of a decade. We don’t need masses of foot soldiers. We can do what is needed with advanced technology and very few, but highly trained and motivated men and women, because they volunteer.

I'm 53 and could easily make it through any service's basic training. Obviously, USMC would be by far the most challenging, but AF and Navy is basically cub scout camp, expect not as hard.

I'd love to see people react if they had rationing.
I could see people crying in the street that their civil liberties are being violated if they are only allocated 5 gallons of gas per week or 2 oz of butter.

i have no desire to enter the draft but would enlist before it came to that.
i'm really in shape from a cardio perspective and a hell of a shot. as arrogant as it comes off, i did the shooting simulation at fort hood and was told that i'd be accepted to their sniper program based on that performance.
but i have a hacksaw ridge style aversion to violence.

I love how everyone is old, slow and fat in this thread but in a bench press/40 time thread everyone is 19 again
