Nebraska. Very underrated state. A hidden gem IMO.

Ditto. Even somewhere like Russellville is pretty nice and the people are normal.
I passed through last week and ate at Old South.
My work territory is basically the Ozark Mountains area so I'm all over northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. The eastern parts of both are pretty meh though.

You’re sharing a link and saying you’re tired of “the nonsense” while also stating a place is underrated based on an 80%+ white population. But you’re not being racist?
I mean, come on man. Just be honest. You would ideally live in a town filled with nothing but white people if you had your way, and somehow the town would be devoid of issues.
Hell as long as we’re showing videos of horrible things people do, want to share the Uvalde school shooting footage? Or maybe some footage from Aurora? People are bad - period.

New Mexico ends up towards the bottom of a lot of lists, similar to Louisiana. Sure, some parts are pretty much a wasteland. But the nicer parts are really incredible. One of my favorite states to visit. If you’ve never been to Santa Fe or Taos, you need to plan on it.

I submit Idaho.
Lots of people hear Idaho, and think Iowa.
Idaho is Montana with a great capital city. Boise is a glorious city, 12 miles from a great ski resort, with a clear running Rocky Mountain river running through the middle of town. It friggin gorgeous.

Glad it’s still there. Great spot. Elvis ate there. The pineapple shakes at Feltner’s Wataburger are solid.

An ex-coworker retired there. He went from all year long warm weather in South FL to live in Maine.

We were there last month and it reminded me of Pittsburgh. Layed out very similar. Those damn hills are no joke.

The northwoods of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan are pretty great, but their major cities run the show and bring down all three states.
This is very accurate.

This. Bar harbor and the area around Acadia national park is so good

Maine
New Hampshire
Pennsylvania
Delaware
Kentucky
Arkansas
Places like Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Idaho are no longer underrated. Don’t believe me? Look at domestic migration.

Minnesota. Despite the winters, it consistently ranks in the top five states in which to live.

Maine would be great for someone looking to go back and forth with the seasons. Go up there to actually enjoy your Summer and some of Fall, then get the heck out and go back to Florida after Halloween.

New Mexico is horrible. Highest rate of DUI and teen pregnancy. People lazy, that is why it is called land of manana. One sports team, not a favorable climate etc. The only thing it does have that is worth the view is the annual balloon festival.

Well it’s a big city and college town, so it’s expected. 1/2 the population of Boise are recent California transplants unfortunately.
ID is still VERY red.
