There's a joke about this that goes something like if you offer a group of men $1,000 a hour then a lot of them will work 70 or more hours a week. Offer a group of women the same conditions and most will work one day in a week or maybe even one day a month.

I've worked 55+ hours a week for over 7 years.

Wife works 37.

She could easily out earn me. My side hustles I do for amusement make more cash than her.

Hospitals need to weed out low quality nurses for ones who perform better.
If that was implemented, use of locums would be cut by 95%. In truth, Administrators are bonused based on profits, not quality.

Why?

Because payment to them is issued based on treatment, not quality.

Well, he thinks CRNAs are the pinnacle of the intelligence structure if that tells you anything...

incompetent overpaid Hospital Administrative overage?

This is very true in large health systems.

The amount of executive, director and administrative bloat is absurd. There is so much inefficiency in decision-making and meetings upon meetings that add no value and move nothing forward.

Everyone regardless of profession can and will say dumb shite. Doesn’t change the fact that on average Doctors, engineers, CPAs, etc are smarter than nurses, teachers, cops.

And I guess I should just take your word that's a "fact" because... reasons. Not like my closest friends and I are all engineers, and my wife and most of my immediate family are nurses. I would have no idea about the intelligence required in these fields.

You know, you could go out there and put up some of your own money, take out a loan and take on the risk of being part owner of an ASC. Then you can reap the rewards of "selling out" to big corporate umbrellas. Or you could just continue what you're doing and bitch about the physicians who did just that
