If malls are dying across the country, and online shopping is so popular

Then explain traffic in and around the Mall of Louisiana right now. Online shopping continues to evolve and change the way we shop, but the mall looks like it did 10, 20 plus years ago. Is this nationwide or is the Mall of Louisiana and Baton Rouge an aberration?

Just because it's busy a few weeks a year doesn't make up for the other 300+ days they are selling less in brick and mortar stores.

MOL also has a lot going for it. Great location with very easy access off of two interstates. The only decent mall for a large swath of population between Lafayette and New Orleans.

They are surviving by evolving. There is still use for brick and mortar stores. They just don't sell at the volume and at the margin they used to.

Just went to the local mall here in PA, it was packed. One of the few weekends i actually plan on going to a mall
