Why can’t my wife FaceTime me from Woman’s Hospital’s physicians office during her appointment for our unborn child’s anatomy scan? This appointment is the single most important appointment during the pregnancy, second only to the actual birth of the child. It’s where you learn if everything is developing, located where it needs to be, and the overall general health of the baby. It’s a big fricking deal and they won’t let the mother voluntarily FaceTime the father during the appointment. That shite rule needs to be amended right now. It’s bullshite.

She can tell you all of that as soon as she gets out.

It sucks that you can't go, but its pretty retarded to compare that to a video doctor appt.

Probably something about patients recording medical procedures that can ultimately lead to lawsuits

Yes I’m salty. They are giving zero rights to the father right now and I think it’s bullshite. I love and care about this unborn baby too. I have questions for the doctor, too.

How? Their concern, according to her text, is hippa rules. Are they not concerned who may or may not hear my video appointments?

Why do you have to FaceTime?

Why not just have her call and put you on speaker and the you can ask the dr any questions. Or...if they won’t allow that...have the doctor call you.

People try to record stuff at appointments and take things completely out of context and use that to try and sue the doctor.

Don’t get mad at the doctor....get mad at the assholes that did that in the past...making it necessary for the doctor to have such rules to protect their careers.

If your wife were ready to deliver, out of curiosity what's the deal at the hospital where she will be?? Are they allowing fathers in the room??

I just edited...have the doctor call you then.

I’m sure they would be willing to work with you. Don’t be the angry person though cause that won’t get you as far as you think.

My wife has her appt tomorrow. It does suck that you can’t be there for it but the tech can do a scan for the ultrasound - can they not do it for The scan?

Well I’ve already been turned away at the door and have been sitting in the car texting her for the past two hours. They didn’t care that I’m the dad. I wasn’t being allowed inside there at all.

She asked them if she could ft or speaker phone me in there during the scan and ultrasound and they told her the answer was an absolute no.

They have to be strict with visitors right now.

Just be glad the clinic is doing something to protect their patients
