What the frick type of bike is that crap?
pie plate granny gears in the back so him 'ums can get up the hills without too much effort and a hipster 'living room chair' position so his back wont be too sore when he stops for the porn stars to massage it along the way.

While I'm thinking about it, my friend's wife Ashley rode 307 miles in 15 hours back in Feb over a 2 day period.
100 miles on Saturday in 5 hours, then another 207 miles the following day in 10.
BEAT THAT DAN.
100 miles in 5 hours on Sat
207 mile ride the next day in 10

This makes way more sense now that I know it's a bicycle and not a motorcycle

There's no way this is a real bet.

Half of the people in here couldn't pedal a bike for 48 minutes, much less 48 hours.
"Only 5 mph avg... Omg thats so easy" *Gets tired from standing for 30 mins*
I'd say ›3.79% of you could do this.

5 MPH is a brisk walk. Unless you have a disability, you should be able to pedal a bike 5mph pretty much inefinitely.

I can't frick pussy for longer than 5 minutes without getting fatigued, much less ride a bike for 48 hours.

While staying awake for 48 hours? When you stop to eat and use the restroom, wouldn't you be taking time away which would add mph to your avg speed? I dont think very many people here could keep their energy going for that many hours without resting, much less sleeping.

5mph is seriously nothing on a bike.

Hell 10 mph on a bike is still considered "riding leisurely"

whoever made this bet is an idiot. that's not hard for someone in decent shape.

For 48 hours straight it sure the hell is.

He's drafting behind a van

if the bet is avg speed, there's no reason he cant take breaks and sleep. dist/time

I completely agree, but the time frame is the major factor here. Mental and physical fatigue would absolutely come into play.
Posted on 3/30/16 at 6:08 pm to GeauxOCDP
It'd be pretty easy to ride leisurely at 10mph and then take breaks/coast often.
Riding 5mph is seriously easier than walking. Do people seriously think they couldn't walk 48 hours straight for $1.2M?
