Yeah, I don’t understand OP. I forgot to get the 15 lbs brisket out of the freezer until yesterday morning. Threw it in the bathtub with cold water for 5 hours and it was ready for the smoker when I needed it to be last night.

Turkeys take much longer to thaw. Last month i put a frozen 15 lb turkey in a brine soak to kill two birds at once (thaw and brine). After 15 hours it was still frozen
