I bet he scrubbed it and built an alibi. Ditching it is more suspicious.

I haven’t followed from beginning. Why did they look for white elantras? Someone see one near crime scene? And this guy drives one?
Showed up on surveillance camera close to the scene.

It's hard to get away with a crime committed with a car used as transportation these days, whether it's your car or not. Not that they had a lot of crime cameras back then, but OJ approached his victims on foot which helped his defense.

I find it somewhat interesting that he more than likely was following the news reports stating they were looking for the white Elantra, yet he hung onto it.
The investigators had him boxed in and he had to know it. He was a criminology phd student so they had to suspect he was following the investigation. The interesting question is, did he self report he owned a car like the one they were looking for? Either way he went it was the beginning of the end for him.
If he self reported he owned a vehicle similar to what they were looking for it put him on their radar and digging deeper into him led them closer and closer to him.
If he did not report he owned a similar vehicl the the question for investigators was why did this criminogy phd student 8 miles away not self report? They narrow in and do the background and get closer and closer to him as the killer.

This guy's criminology degree didn't do him any good at all. He should have watched more episodes of FBI files, etc.

Sounds like Kohberger was rejected by one of the deceased girls. Kohberger gives off that nerdy PhD student vibe
There are lots of girls on college campuses who are attracted to exactly that type. If this dude didn't have a serious personality disorder he wouldn't have lacked for female attention.

yall keep suggesting he had trouble with the ladies, but what if it was his interest in criminology that led him to this? Maybe he had an obsession with this type of shite that grew from his studies only his took a dark murderous turn?

If only he had left some DNA at the scene, or in his car, the jury might have convicted him. Just kidding. That jury wouldn't have convicted him if they had surveillance footage of him committing the murders.

I wonder if he is also the perp in the 3 am stabbings of that couple in which the man died and the woman survived? It is the same late night blitz attack MO and geographically close.

On August 13, 2021, a couple were attacked at their home in the Oregon town of Salem, whilst they were asleep. Travis Juetten, 26, was killed whilst 24-year-old Jamilyn Juetten survived, despite suffering 19 stab wounds.

Sandra Ladd, added 71, was found stabbed to death in her home, in the Washington state town of Washougal, on June 14, 2020.

I said a while back that the timing and the house played a big part in the killing. I agree that his education and studies of crime played a major role in his actions but I think he likely was studying the field because he was already psychotic and it was only a matter of time.
The timing I think was still tied to Gonclaves girl graduating and leaving the area. That weekend was likely his last opportunity. Indication reported so far have been that she was likely the primary target.

I heard there's a post on 4chan from mid-December claiming the perp was hiding in Pennsylvania and graphic descriptions of the crime. I don't have 4chan so perhaps someone who does could take a look.
