No signs of forced entry. Unless someone left the sliding door unlocked, how would a stranger have gotten in?
Posted on 11/19/22 at 3:27 pm to DaleGribble
Most of the houses are open door policies from my experience. Always people partying and hopping around the area.

I'm betting my worthless e-clout that it was some transient schizo that should have been in an asylum or in the dirt already

Aside from the killer or killers, every single person in the house that night lived there. It doesn't sound like there was any party that night.
They mentioned the door having a key code entry. Maybe the wrong person got the code. But I doubt that they all would have went to bed for the night with the doors unlocked.

20 year olds are pretty dumb when it comes to their own mortality. Factor in the alcohol, and the worst luck ever with crazy psycho checking the sliding door to see if it was locked and getting lucky, I could see it happening.

Cartels ain’t gonna drive all the way up to the Canadian border to off some kids who may be a bit behind on their payments to their reefer dealer.
Do you actually believe that?
They are already here in the states.

Is this the “Vax is causing every death” of crime threads?
I’m aware cartels exist, and I’m aware they operate in the states…what I’m saying is that it isn’t very likely in this case.

If this was someone who acted before, where are the similar unsolved cases?

Cartels have drug distribution networks across the entire US. Just seems like every time you hear about some gruesome shocking murder, drugs are involved somewhere. It’s not crazy to wonder if these kids who were known partiers got messed up with some sketchy people. It doesn’t feel right to smear the dead but I’m trying to find some reasoning other than a Friday the 13th-style psychopath killer. I guarantee investigators have at least explored that angle.

Only thing I have read is:

And a brief description of floor plan.

On Saturday, just about a week after the four students were killed, investigators could be seen at the residence taking pictures and measuring tire tracks.

Fox News Digital previously spoke with the property manager of the house, Merida McClanahan, who said there is about 20 feet of space between the rooms on each floor. The single-family home has two bedrooms on each floor with bathrooms and hallways in between them. On the second floor, the rooms are separated by a living room and kitchen area.

I suggest , for all those that have security cameras mounted up around your house, to point at least one towards the road. Catching even a passing car that occurs around the same time a neighbor's house is victimized can be very valuable for law enforcement. Maybe you can record that tan Volkswagen Beetle.
If I’m a parent who is purchasing a college house for a child, I’m putting cameras on all the doors and one on the street AND I’m getting a light to illuminate both the back and front yards at night.
I might even get in the habit of doing regular reviews of the footage to make sure there isn’t a creep casing the house.
(Edit: Also, I might insist they have more than a 1:5 boy-to-girl ratio most nights…that’s right, I’m insisting they have MORE boys stay over.)

If they were calling for help why wouldn’t they have called 911? That’s what makes me think they weren’t calling for help when they called the Ex BF

There is some anecdotal evidence out there that this could have been the work of a serial killer.

Similarities in Unsolved Stabbings: 2021 Oregon Fatal Stabbing of Sleeping Couple & Moscow Idaho Quadruple Murder — Both Incidents Involved an Unknown Man With Large Knife in Early Morning Hours

While detectives continue piecing together details involving a quadruple murder in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, individuals online have brought up a similar stabbing case that took place in 2021 in Marion County, Oregon. Both cases involved an unknown attacker entering the victims household and stabbing them while they slept.
Authorities in Marion County, Oregon have hit a dead end in their investigation into the August 13, 2021 homicide case wherein an unknown masked assailant entered a sleeping couple’s home and attacked them at 3:00 AM.
The husband, Travis Richard Juetten, 26, was pronounced dead at his home, while his wife, Jamilyn Rebekah Juetten, survived after being stabbed 19 times.

If you’re that much of a helicopter parent your kids aren’t going to U of I

Maybe the regular footage review is overkill. But if I’m buying the house for my daughter (which might not be the situation in this particular case, I’m just using an example since I know a lot more parents are straight-up buying than footing the bill for rent), I’m going to put a camera on the sliding door and one on the street.
I would already be “helicopter parenting” by buying a house for her/them. What’s it matter to have a surveillance system at that point?

Would recording devices like Siri or Alexis picked up any sounds that can be useful now?

they've damaged a hell of a lot of people on the web with their theories of other cases.
Hopefully we see some lawsuits.
