In Idaho, under the speedy-trial requirements, your trial must occur within 180 days from the filing of the Criminal Information (which is filed after the Preliminary Hearing).

They were talking about that exact law on the news and they expect him to waive his right.

I wonder if this actually goes to trial?
He's stupid and might want his 15 min so we'll see I guess.

Anything new today other than he will enter his plea at a hearing on Thursday?

Looking at her I am willing to bet good money that none of this ever happened and she is just an attention seeking whore. There is really no way the killer suspect will ever be able to contradict her claims
quote:
She said she did not recall the movie she and Kohberger saw together, but they ended up back at her college dorm, where according to her, Kohberger 'invited himself inside.'
He then allegedly proposed watching another movie, which she agreed to do.
But during the second viewing, she claimed he 'kept trying to touch me.'
'Not like inappropriately, just like trying to tickle and like, rub my shoulder and stuff,' she said.
She proceeded to ask him why he was touching her, which caused him to get 'super serious,' she said.

Someone will take the case pro bono. The publicity alone is worth it to some attorneys, conscience be damned.

He has a public defender currently.
I know if that was me my parents aren't sacrificing their retirement after reading the affidavit.
Let's see if his parents are as dumb as he is.

I think this is something that you waive pretty early
Posted on 1/11/23 at 9:24 am to LSUintheNW
Has the defense been given any more info on the evidence than what is in the affidavit?

They filed a motion for discovery yesterday.

SIAP but I just now became aware that he turned his phone off when he was leaving his apartment and didn’t turn it back on until he was pulling back in to it. I thought I heard previously that he didn’t turn it off until he was near the girls’ house. If this is the case, I didn’t realize your phone can be pinged even when it’s not turned on. Isn’t that how they knew the route he took? Maybe this is common knowledge and I’ve never been aware.

No pretty sure they rebuilt the route through security cam footage. Don't think he was traced with the phone off.

I'm pretty positive that's correct.
Anyone please correct if I'm wrong.
Eta....post below is a great description.

He turned it off when he was leaving Pullman and was headed in the direction of Moscow.
They tracked him with security footage after that until after the murders.
Then he turned it back on after leaving moscow, but he didn't head back to his place directly. Went south down 95, then west over to Johnson, WA. Then north back to Pullman. All of that time his phone was on and the the pings tracked him. About an hour out of the way heading back. They got him on security footage when he got back to Pullman as well.
He made a big loop.

He's willing to butcher 4 kids for attention. You think he cares about his parents financial well being?

Gotcha. Thanks. Thought I had heard they recreated it with his cell phone pings but I’m probably misremembering.
