Any word on the cat that broke this case wide open by taking a pee in front of a ring doorbell camera?

Thanks for the 3d link. that clears a lot of it up. Now I am firmly in the camp of him being in there before. Navigating unknown would suck.

Chicken, Johnson, WA is basically non-existent. Everything there has a Colton address. Everybody there works on one of a few ranches/farms, and splits firewood aboot 7 months per year.

Maybe once arrest warrant done they were concerned about securing perimeter of parents house in middle of the night as well stopping anymore destruction of evidence, but this still seems overkill considering they admit to seeing him outside several times. If it was only him inside and his house I probably wouldn’t care. I am glad the parents didn’t get shot during this.

quote:

A SWAT team then moved in as soon as a warrant was obtained, breaking down the doors and windows in what the source said was a 'dynamic entry.' They added that it was a rare tactic that was only used in cases where this suspect is considered 'high risk.

quote:

Law enforcement saw him multiple times outside of his parent's $250,000 Pennsylvania home wearing surgical gloves. A source told CNN Kohberger wore surgical gloves while taking out the bags, and was even seen putting trash into his neighbor's bins at around 4am. This was prior to his arrest, with agents recovering items from both his family home and the neighbors.

Although highly improbable, there's plausible explanations for the sheath that don't involve him being the killer. If he had been to the house before, he can claim that he left the knife there previously. If he had not been to the house before, he can claim he left the knife elsewhere or it was stolen.

I want you on the jury if I’m ever on trial for a crime. The standard is not 100%, incontrovertible proof. It’s proof beyond a reasonable doubt. What you posted there is not reasonable. Especially in the context of all the other evidence, circumstantial as it may be.

IMO, the blood in the car is going to be the big piece of evidence that swings whether this goes to trial. If the prosecution rip the car apart and don't find any blood then the defense might feel pretty good about an acquittal. If the find blood, he's obviously done.

I think they can convict without it, but yeah, finding the victims blood would be impossible to overcome. But if he was somehow able to scrub the car of any blood—he wasn’t—I think the presence of however much bleach, etc…it would have taken to get rid of it, could still be used as an argument against him. Nobody cleans a used Elantra like that unless they’re trying to destroy evidence.

Heard today that his sister had a part in a slasher movie.

Is that correct?

What kind of family are we dealing with?
Enquiring mind here.

Amanda Kohberger appeared as “Lori” in the 2011 flick “Two Days Back” about a group of young students who go hiking in the remote woods and meet their grisly end at the hands of a maniacal killer who has won their trust.

You aren’t going to hear every detail of this case as it unfolds in real time. We know they found a shoe print. Considering how these officers have proven they aren’t bumblefricks they have probably gone through his shoe collection and looked at past purchases. Could have paid cash and could have burned them. However, he hasn’t been the shining beacon of how to commit a perfect murder.

Read the affidavit. We can’t keep answering the same questions when the info is out there.

Knowing how he was with not wanting his dinner cooked on pans that had touched meat, I could see him wearing gloves to take out the trash for similar reasons.

You got a lot of meat on the outside of your garbage bags? You throw your trash and your parents trash in the neighbors trashcans due to meat concerns?

There's a video by the guy in Canada who broke down Russell Williams and got him to confess, talking to another murder suspect. He explains how it's impossible to clean a car of blood stains. He's fricking with the guy because they have him dead to rights. Basically unless you tear out the entire down to the bare metal, the blood's going to be there.

I wonder if they combed the dog for DNA. I'm half joking, but curious anyway. There's a good chance the killer had to push the dog away at least once, since the living roommate said that she initially thought they were playing with the dog because it kept barking.

It would also be interesting to see how the dog would react to Kohberger's scent. The dog, in theory, witnessed its owner be murdered.
