I'd like to know what happened to the OTers 6 month emergency funds.

We are constantly informed on here that to not have an emergency fund of at least 6 months is a sign of stupidity and poor economic planning.
One month into this emergency, and y'all are on the verge of a breakdown because you can't work.
Did y'all not prepare for the situation of being unemployed?

I have 1 year emergency fund for my family to live our current lifestyle with no changes

I can only speak for myself but I prefer not to blow through my saving because of an overreaction to the flu.

You joke, but I had a friend go pick up a huge shrooms order and sell it all when everything shut down. Their actual job is working for tips, but have been basically fine so far due to the large sale.

I could actually last 2 years without hyper inflation. But it would be boring and I don't have kids to feed.

Agree. But doubt it. Especially if the $600 has started. I imagine the mentality will be that if shite hits the fan, there's always government help.

I definitely don't keep 6 months of pay in cash sitting in a savings account. That's too much money to be earning
