I'd expect this from USPS but not from FedEx

I was supposed to receive a package from FedEx on Saturday. There was a light drizzle. I watched the delivery truck come down the private lane and pull in to the driveway. The driver never got out and he backed out and left. About 30 minutes later I had an email from fedex saying that the package was UNdeliverable due to the weather.
The garage door was open and the driver had pulled up 10 feet from the covered porch. I didn't receive the package until yesterday and it gave me a fresh case of the red arse.
Edit: Dear Diary.

And people think replacing those bums with drones will be a bad thing.

Must have just got their hair done

I was reading the stats on that and if fedex or ups had drones launch from the tops of the vehicles and it saved every driver a mile of driving it would save around 50 million just in fuel costs per year

I'd be pissed for sure, but that's actually pretty funny.

I’ve had UPS do the same shite. Pulled into the driveway and all. Why even go that far if you’re not going to go the extra 15 feet to deliver?

This happened to a friend of mine not long ago. He got in his truck and followed the UPS driver until he stopped and ran up in the truck. Driver was pretty pissed but when my friend said everything was captured on his ring doorbell, the driver changed his attitude and quickly got him his package.

GPS tracking. They can go back and verify they went to a location but the “weather” was too bad to deliver .

As a former UPS driver this typically happens for one reason. Once the driver reaches the delivery destination he goes to the back of the truck to look for the package. Sometimes it’s simply not there and has been mis-loaded onto another truck. This would explain why the driver drove away. Believe me… The driver wants to get the package off of his truck so that it doesn’t get added to his delivery schedule The following day. Classifying the stop as a mis-load is A service failure and a no-no with UPS and FedEx. This explains why the driver or supervisor marked it as a un-deliverable due to weather.

Was it an Amazon package? I'm sure somehow this is Amazon's fault. Has to have something to do with Amazon.

I ship packages everyday with my business. I have used all the major carriers at one time or another. We get better service from the USPS than any other carrier by far

I have submitted no less than 4 videos to the USPS in the past year of my fat ARSE carrier puling up to my mailbox, filling out a certified letter receipt, putting "no answer" on the reason it was undeliverable, dropping it in my mailbox and driving off without ever getting out of the truck. USELESS.

FedEx was to bring a package to my office. Coworkers saw the truck pull up out front, park a while, then leave without the driver ever getting out.
I got a message that delivery could not be made because the building was closed.
I hit up their customer service folks on Twitter. Next time FedEx came, it was a new driver.

That makes sense.
Thanks for the insight.

This term is nonexistent in the language of a USPS worker unless it relates to extra time off or extra breaks. USPS is useless

Tuesday FedEx delivered a 1 pillow case to my house but did not leave it because it needed to be signed for. (WTF???) wife called them and they were to bring it to her work on Wednesday but never showed.

I've never had this treatment from USPS, but regularly from FEDEX and UPS.
