Wow, I have always wondered if people who saw the photos of those who fell recognized any of their loved ones. Those photographs are gut-wrenching - I cannot imagine the horror of seeing someone you love falling from those towers. I also cannot fathom the terror and the desperation those people felt before they lept from those windows...

I don't think it was odd. It's been said before. It's definitely misplaced. Bush didn't want to panic the kids, media, or the nation. The few minutes that he took to finish weren't going to mean anything. There is little he could or would have done in those minutes, therefore, its useless to criticize him for it.
