Can they stay home and work hard to convert their homelands in a livable state?

shite. Glad I got my roof done in January.
Not an English speaker on the roof and half the cost of a Trump roof.

I know nothing about this process. What’s the problems she’s having?

I’ve worked in roofing it’s not half the cost the contractor just gets to pocket more and if you hired illegals to install your roof with no warranty or insurance you’re a retard.

Gets some uninsured drivers off the roads too.

Hopefully the business owners were arrested as well. I've said for a long time if you hire illegals you should lose your business and face jail time.
Hard to do when your governor is guilty of this as well.

I just hired my Honduran painter for a job. I swear, if they touch a hair on his head, I'll murder everybody.
I need a painter, can you give your address so we can take a look at his work?
What time does he work?
What does he look like?

Good luck with that. My wife has been working on getting her citizenship for 5 years. We've spent somewhere around $10k and she still doesn't have her blue passport.
She should have came illegally then and gone to the front of the line.

Over 80% on New Orleans voted for Kamala

My wife's cousin went about it the legal way to get a work visa and it's been a nightmare of a process. Coordinating lawyers from different entities, neverending paperwork, having to fly/drive to different states to handle things, the list goes on. And that's for high skilled labor WITH an employer willing to sponsor. I can't imagine the process for someone like a laborer. You can be 100% against illegal immigration and still admit that our current system is a black hole of bureaucracy

Nola is mostly a Honduran workforce In landscaping and construction. I have met and worked alongside some very talented tradesmen from Honduras, making a good difference in Nola. Sucks that there are some bad eggs and associated consequences that befall the good ones.
We hired a driver for a day in Roatan just to take us around the island so we could see everything. This was 10 years ago. He said his dad had made it to the US 3 times and was deported all 3 times from Houston. He said his dad hadn't worked in 3 years because there were no jobs on the island unless you were a government employee or spoke English and could work in the tourist areas.
It really does suck for those that are just trying to work, while have a whole group of able-bodied US citizens sucking off the government tit.

Only 30% of NOLA actually votes

Why don't the "good ones" try to get citizenship or a work visa?
I’m not certain how to answer that. What I can say is I don’t live in Nola anymore and the construction company I am employed with has only local Louisiana baws on our field roster. We sub out a lot of work around the country and its about 50/50 on whether our subs employ citizens or immigrants. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows with either group.

ICE is a federal agency.
If Edwards is guilty show verifiable evidence and let the chips fall where they may.
This also goes for the guy who's wife won't get off his butt about painting the house or cleaning the flower beds so he picks up a couple of Hondurans at the local Home Depot for the day.
Hire illegals and go to jail.

Nice to have competent grownups back in charge.

I'm reciting from memory so I could be off here. 1st step she had to get a short term green card, can't recall how long it was good for. Next she had to apply for her "permanent" green card. This included an interview with us, our lawyer and an immigration officer. At this appointment we had to answer all sorts of personal and private questions to prove we were actually married and living together. After a period of time having her permanent green card (I think 5 years) she was able to apply for citizenship. From there we had to wait for an appointment for to have her interview for citizenship where she takes the citizenship test. We did this last January. She answered all the questions correctly but was not given her citizenship because the immigration officer was confused about a technicality. We've since sent the clarifications and will hopefully have her citizenship by this summer.
You can't imagine the frustration. When we went for her citizenship exam there were lines of people coming in just that day. I have to wonder how many of them walked out legal while we continue to wait.

I’ve 100% given the shirt off my own back to help some immigrants out; let them drive vehicles I’ve owned and insured so they can get to work; paid them for lunch breaks, etc.
We all need help in life. But it’s harder for me to have empathy for U.S. citizens that don’t bring any effort whatsoever to helping themselves.
