415 subs on this Datacenter project. Always wonder how many would be left if La Migra rolled up.

People think that ICE is just going around harassing random brown people, and using that to rage against Trump, but as far as I know they always know who or what they're looking for ahead of time.

Also, the "arresting people without a warrant" line that gets used is bullshite. A final order of removal is sufficient to detain and deport someone.

Misleading at best, outright disingenuous more than likely. On a work site raid like this they will have some reasonable suspicion that there are people working without authorization, however, very rarely to never do they know who exactly is there. I've also seen a lot of these situations lately be that they were looking for 1 person and then picked up everyone else there as collateral detentions.

I don't know the exact numbers, but from experience there are way more people being picked up without final orders than there are with final orders. Either way, our laws aren't structured to require a warrant to detain someone in a public space so that is a disingenuous statement the Left is using.

Both sides are being extremely irrational these days, and this is why our immigration system is irredeemably screwed up.

A long arse time ago I worked at a a shipyard that built navy ships.
One day we had ICE, NCIS, and FBI show up in our office and went to get one of our fellow employees. They took him into a conference room and told him nothing then went into his office and grabbed his hard drive and some files.

Turns out that in his role before joining our team, he had been in the office that approved contractor badges and such. He was never charged with anything because the illegals ha very good fake documents.
Until they start arresting and charging the employers, this crap will never stop with using cheap labor.

The employer will get penalties too....right?

Were they one of the 25 arrested?

Probably not. The employer almost has certainly has record of these people passing a background check and being e-verified based on the documentation the illegals provided at time of hire.

I was just reading the FAQ and learning more about what they can and cannot do:

To your point they do not always have a warrant or final order, but they can legally do workplace inspections.

quote:

What are ICE worksite audits?
ICE conducts worksite enforcement operations to ensure businesses comply with immigration and employment laws. These actions help prevent worker exploitation and promote legitimate hiring practices. Knowingly hiring or continuing to employ illegal aliens is a crime, and the U.S. government prosecutes people and entities that violate the law. Get more information on ICE’s I-9 inspection process here.

Businesses can join ICE’s IMAGE program to learn about workforce compliance, including I-9 requirements and employee eligibility verification.

ICE does not need a criminal or civil warrant to conduct a worksite inspection.

LINK

Regardless, I voted for all of this.
