Keeping ice is not the issue. Being a cool owner is.

I have a Tundra 110 and a Roadie. Therefore I am super cool.

I don't get the whole yeti cooler thing? Why does anyone need to keep beer cold for longer than like a day or two?

For extended camping trips in remote places it comes in handy to be able to keep meat and other perishables cold for up to a week at a time. It is also nice to be able to have ice for a mixed drink many days into a trip. That is about the only real legitimate use over a "traditional" cooler.

It's not made for icing down beer. It's for people who are offshore or in the woods and need to keep meat iced down a few days.

If y'all want an expensive ice chest, keep it local and buy a KYSEK

Exactly. My camping trips are rarely longer than 2-3 nights. My old Igloo cube works perfectly.

I did read in some outdoor magazine about a guy that does week long guided canoe/camping trips. He rides solo in his canoe with a huge Yeti. It only gets opened twice a day. And he has two guys on each side of it to grab what they need and the lid is closed back within 15-20 seconds. He says it is really useful on night 6 when he can still have ice for his bourbon. But he can pack lunch and dinner for a group of 8-10 people for a week in it and still have ice 6 nights in. They have their place.

The article failed to mention if his Canoe had a Yeti sticker on it.

Nice video.

It would probably be best to get the big cheap sytrofoam and then put a smaller Styrofoam one inside it then fill all with ice. For < $20, you have a top of the line cooler.

I don't use ice cubes, I use frozen kentwood jugs (the old square smaller ones). They double as extra water.

Could have told ya that. Hell, the Rtic tumbler I have keeps shite colder/hotter for longer than my yeti tumbler.
