So very sorry about your Dad, Iz. It has to be a comfort to have retired and been able to spend time with him in his last years. Peace to you, your Mom and your family.
On another note, this board does rock during storms. The info gathered here is pretty amazing.

They definitely did. Helped me immensely while it was headed for me. I couldn’t agree more. But, more importantly, I am so very sorry for what you and your family have endured. Just prayed for you.

Likewise for you, Dex. I went through Bradenton on the way back, looked like a F1, maybe borderline 2 (very big trees down over about 200 yards) nado hit just NW of town. Was very happy to hear you and yours were OK.

I retired very early, at 53. Could have made a shitton more money, and am thinking about that now. But if I hadn't retired when I did, I wouldn't have had that last year living near my Dad. I feel like those moments are worth whatever I could have earned.

Man, I am very sorry to hear about your dad. Hopefully you have lots of happy memories of him. I lost my dad many years ago and his memories have become a lot more cherished over time.

I’m sorry for your loss. Lost my dad and best friend 30 years ago. I think about him every day.

That's terrible man. Im sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what the past couple of weeks have been like for you. Like an earlier poster said, its a blessing that you got to spend those last years with your Dad and have those extra memories. Glad y'all got to have that time. I live right down the road in Seminole, we also evacuated to Ft Pierce early Tuesday morning. May have even crossed paths with you at some point. There aint much in Ft Pierce. Storms are crazy. Never know for certain where exactly the thing is going until the last day.

Sorry for your loss and prayers for your family. This place can be strange and interesting and even ugly but I love when things get real and the bullshite gets cast aside and you see the true heart people, except for a few scumbags.

Honestly when I hear people talk about storms I check here before anywhere else. Duke and rds are heroes. This board was fantastic last year for Ida
