maybe the mid-level low, the surface low is still offshore...you can clearly see it on satellite.

I think it was hurricanetrack a day or two ago on YouTube who talked about how 98L is going into an area that is prime for a quickly developing storm, low sheer, higher than average water temps, space for an outflow zone. Basically all the ingredients are there for a cyclone to become a major hurricane.
