Awe thanks .. I’d like to think I’m a kind and caring human. I’m in Louisiana on the coast basically .. right between where Laura and Ida hit.
We’ve been spared numerous times and I’m so sad for those who will deal with what’s now left to deal with.

She won't respond to me in threads, so I get to poke fun at her.

Help those that you can and be fair in the process .. it’s all you can do aside from prayers if you’re the praying type. And if you’re not it’s ok — I am.

I don't think so.
But there is definitely a Boston Whaler on top of a garage.

No, he mostly posts from his mom's basement. I think he's afraid of heights.

We lived through the 2004 hurricane season in Central Florida. DirecTV simulcasts local channels whenever the storms get bad enough and this sure looked like all of the 2004 hurricanes wrapped into one. From the 36 hour out forecast of a direct hit on Tampa to it making landfall near Punta Gorda, it took an almost identical path to Charley. Then the slow speed of Ivan and Jeanne dropping tons of rain as Ian has done in 24 hours. I had to flip the channel when I felt a bit of PTSD creeping back in from back then.
They're calling this a 200 year flood in Orlando. We still have friends down there and they said there's a ton of water all over with Kissimmee being totally under water. It's only 3pm and OIA/MCO has already set a single day record for rain.
At this point you've got to worry more about people and less about possessions. Anyone who has gone through a hurricane is forever changed with the knowledge of the misery of the hours/days/weeks to come.

Oatey, I respond to you

Ocean, that’s heartbreaking. Hope they can get some kind of temporary housing assistance to cover those kinds of costs.

Our properties seem to not have been damaged but we have no power. So I'm offering for people to stay there at a deep discounted rate if they need a safe place to sleep without power.

I’m baffled why such a good catch like that is still single.

Super generous for real. I’m sure people will happily take you up on that. Sad situation all around.
