the more important movement with the heavier volume is the left turn that blocks up all directions when they need their own green arrow to do it in a traditional intersection. there is another one being constructed right now at the new airport as well.

you'd think people would appreciate waiting less at lights, but then what would they bitch about?

he plan on the city website is to put a roundabout at Pecue and Highland. Will certainly make that intersection much safer. I’ve seen several bad accidents at that intersection over the last few years.

The new one in Ascension Parish by Prarieville Middle seems to have fewer issues than the ones they added in Walker. The ones at LSU seems to be working without issue as well, along with the one on Government/Lobdell.

So I'm going to assume it's a Livingston Parish driver problem.

and in the very next post, i defended a roundabout from the city

so which is it, do i work at dotd or the city?

or neither? maybe i like waiting less in traffic and having our roads finally coming up the same levels as other states.

everyone loves to bitch about how bad traffic is, and when something new is done to address it, well that's stupid too. everything's stupid. it's old. go bitch somewhere else.

Pathetic…but very typical of LA. Any other state would have had this completed in 2 years.

Literally from your own link that you posted, they say they don’t want to build Interstate ramp access until Pecue is 4 lanes from Airline to Perkins. So that has to be constructed first. It is planned out this way.

I swear some of y’all just love to complain.

The only thing I’m bitching about is the fact that this project will take at least 10 years to complete.

Exactly…A project like this is planned out to take 10 freaking years. As I said, other states like TX would have this completed in 2 years.

There will be a frenzy of retail development along Perkins in front of Woodridge once that exit ramp completes. Hopefully a little better thought out than what was built on Siegen.

IIRC, the state dragged their feet on funding the exit ramp for a long time.

State government seems to spend a lot of money, but very little of it seems to go towards things that adds value to taxpayers.

Bait and switch going on here.

Broome had them clear the woods for the on/off ramps 4 plus years ago as if work was ready to begin on the interchange. Instead all they did was build a new overpass two years later.

FWIW, EBR taxpayers voted to fund this project in 2005 in Kip’s Greenlight plan. In Broome’s MovEBR plan more money was committed to this project.

It’s been 17 years and now we hear it might be 10 more years. Lol

Assessor's map shows most of that land is owned by LRK, LLC.

I'm interested to see how that pull that off. That is a tight two lane road intersection with big ditces on each side.

All the land in front of Woodridge is still owned by one of the Kleinpeter and is zoned for retail/industry.

I almost bought a house in Woodridge a year ago and looked all of that up.

While I loved the idea of easy interstate access, I hated that Pecue would because Siegan 2.0.

I'd appreciate a way to cross an interstate in this city that doesn't involve the clusterfrick of a bottlenecked intersection.

Between Pecue's interchange and Valley St getting torn down, what's left?

And the last thing Baton Rouge needs is more reliance on the interstates just to get across town.
