At first glance, I thought you wrote Fletch so I came up with a story arc.
Lacey Chabert stars as the female version of Fletch. In a new Fletch series as she reports the news, as a TV reporter that goes back home to uncover corruption in her own home town for the holidays. Meets back up with her high school sweetheart and victim of the corruption. I would throw in a steamy sex scene on a plush rug by the fireplace at his place.
